Billy Graham Library announces spring events

CHARLOTTE, N.C., March 12, 2024 –The Billy Graham Library welcomes visitors to upcoming events including Homeschool Day, Children’s Story Time, and Easter at the Library.

March 14, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.: Homeschool Day — Homeschool families can spend a day of fun and learning at the Billy Graham Library. Students and parents will have the opportunity to participate in a special craft, discover various careers in ministry at the Ministry Exploration Experience, and learn more about the Billy Graham Library’s student resources and STEAM field trips. The first 200 guests will receive a free treat in the Graham Brothers Dairy Bar.

This event is currently sold out.

March 15, 1 p.m., and March 26, 10 a.m.: Children’s Story Time — Bring your children to the Billy Graham Library’s bookstore where they can hear about the love of Jesus through Christ-centered stories along with songs, interactive elements, and more.

Admission is free, but reservations are recommended, as space is limited.

March 23, 10 a.m.-3 p.m.: Easter at the Library — The family-friendly Easter at the Library event features the Resurrection Quest—a free scavenger hunt where children and adults together, can look for clues that tell a Biblical account of the Easter story as they walk through the Library’s Journey of Faith tour. Families can also view an animated film showing of Ruth Graham’s The Lion of Judah in Billy Kim Hall, and children, ages 5-12, can create a Christ-focused craft. 

While admission is free, there is a $5 materials fee for those wishing to do the craft project. Reservations for the Resurrection Quest and crafts are recommended, as space is limited.

STEAM Field Trip Experience

The Billy Graham Library now offers STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) field trip experiences for student groups. The day-long, comprehensive program features elements of STEAM as students learn about Billy Graham and his significance in the course of world history. The STEAM program is free; on-site lunch is an additional cost. Groups must schedule their field trip in advance by contacting LibraryStudents@bgea.org or 704-401-3200.

Guests who visit the Library this spring, and at any point throughout the year, can experience The Journey of Faith – an interactive tour highlighting the message of hope that Billy Graham preached for more than 80 years – the Graham Brothers Dairy Bar, Ruth’s Attic bookstore, the Graham family homeplace, the memorial prayer garden, and more.

The Billy Graham Library is open Monday through Saturday from 9:30 a.m.-5 p.m. with free admission every day. The Library is closed on Sundays. For more information on upcoming events or group tours, please call 704-401-3200 or email LibraryEvents@bgea.org.
