Regional Prayer Gathering to take place online via Facebook Live, March 15 at 7 p.m.
TIFTON, Ga., March 15, 2020 – The Tiftarea Celebration with Will Graham – which was originally planned for March 20-22 at the UGA Tifton Campus Conference Center – is being postponed until a yet-to-be-determined date. The decision was made following yesterday’s declaration from Gov. Brian Kemp, and in communication with UGA Tifton leadership.
“This is a sad day and difficult decision, but ultimately a call that we had to make,” said Will Graham. “I want the people and churches in and around the Tiftarea to know that I have a burden to share the hope and love of Jesus there, and I prayerfully anticipate being with you as soon as possible.”
The Regional Prayer Gathering, which had been scheduled for Sunday night, March 15, at the UGA Tifton Campus Conference Center, will now be an online-only Facebook Live event at www.Facebook.com/TiftareaCelebration (March 15 at 7 p.m.).
Bob Hickling, who is directing the Tiftarea Celebration with Will Graham, asked that local Christians spread the word about the online Regional Prayer Gathering with their family and friends. “Please join us as we lift our prayers to God,” he said. “We believe in the power of prayer, and need it during these uncertain days.”
Will Graham and the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association remain committed to proclaiming the Gospel in South Georgia, and will work with local leadership to reschedule the Celebration in the near future.
