CHARLOTTE, N.C., March 12, 2021 – Evangelist Will Graham has released the following statement following the passing of Luis Palau:
Luis Palau was one of the best communicators of the Gospel I have ever known. He had a humble spirit, a genuinely kind soul, a true servant’s heart, a love for his Savior, and a deep passion for the lost. He was exactly the type of person that God delights in using for His Kingdom. And now Luis has been called home to rest at the feet of his Father after a lifetime of eternity-impacting evangelistic ministry.
Please join me in praying for Patricia, Andrew, Kevin, Keith and Steve, their extended family, and the Luis Palau Evangelistic Association team. We do not grieve as those who have no hope (1 Thessalonians 4:13), but we do still mourn when a friend as dearly loved as Luis is no longer with us.
Luis’ legacy and the eternal impact of his ministry will be felt for generations to come. I’m certain that when he got to heaven, Luis heard the words that every Christian longs to hear: “Well done, good and faithful servant.”
