Franklin Graham hosts 48th Vice President of the United States Mike Pence for book signing event and dedication of new facility

CHARLOTTE, N.C., Dec. 12, 2022 – The Billy Graham Library will welcome Mike Pence, 48th vice president of the United States, as he signs copies of his recently released autobiography So Help Me God from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 13.

“We are honored to welcome Vice President Mike Pence back to the Billy Graham Library. I have known him for many years, and I appreciate how he has never shied away from telling people how much he relies on his relationship with Jesus Christ,” said Franklin Graham, president and CEO of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. “Mr. Pence’s place in history through his personal and political endeavors is highlighted by his commitment to his faith in God, which is evident throughout his new book.”

In So Help Me God, Mr. Pence writes about how the Christian beliefs that he embraced as a young man guided him throughout his life and informed the decisions that he made as vice president.

“For me, it’s always been clinging to that faith,” said Vice President Mike Pence. “He knows the plans He has for us. Plans to prosper us, not to harm us. It’s grounded in the belief that whatever life throws at us, if we lean on Him, we’ll hold firm to our family, we’ll hold firm to our convictions, our ideals—that we’ll see our way through.”

Mr. Pence will also join Franklin Graham for the ribbon cutting and dedication of a new expansion at the Billy Graham Library on Tuesday. The recently constructed Billy Kim Hall will allow training and events to be held at the Billy Graham Library, which has welcomed 1.7 million visitors since opening in 2007.
