Franklin Graham’s Easter message from Ukraine

Easter Sunday, Franklin Graham reminded viewers of the holiday’s true meaning.

In a special TV program filmed on the streets of Lviv, Ukraine, Graham’s Easter message shared the hope found in Jesus Christ—in both His death and His resurrection.

A Ukrainian choir sang and praised God with profound emotion, and several choir members shared how God has sustained them even in the midst of the devastation that war has brought to their country.

“May we never forget the true meaning of Easter and that is the price that was paid for the redemption of your soul,” said Graham. “This price was paid by God. God loves us and Easter is about God’s love for mankind.”

The program aired on Fox News and TBN on Easter Sunday and is currently available to watch at BillyGraham.org/Franklin-Grahams-message-from-Ukraine/.

Good Friday: Will Graham shares the Gospel in English, Spanish and American Sign Language

On April 15, Will Graham hosted two back-to-back Good Friday online livestream outreaches. The first was in English (with simultaneous American Sign Language interpretation), featuring musical guest Brandon Heath. The second was in Spanish, with music by Marcos Witt and in-person translation of Will’s message.

Both events were broadcast live from the Billy Graham Training Center at The Cove in Asheville, North Carolina.

“Jesus loved you so much He was willing to go to the cross and to die for you. That’s what the Gospel is all about. Jesus in your place. In my place,” said Will, as he focused on the trial of Christ. “Believe in Him, trust in Him, and ask Him for forgiveness of your sins. Give your life to Christ today. You’ll never regret it.”

Combined, there were more than 33,000 live and on-demand views across 81 unique countries / territories on the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA) website and YouTube. A total of 940 people registered decisions for Jesus.

Cissie Graham Lynch speaks at National Conference on Christian Apologetics

On April 8-9, Southern Evangelical Seminary (SES) brought over 900 people together to engage in conversations about standing firm in their faith. It was the National Conference on Christian Apologetics in Rock Hill, South Carolina, where Cissie Graham Lynch was one of the keynote speakers.

“I am the least of these to be speaking here. But it doesn’t matter where God called you. We have been placed in this chaotic time for a purpose,” Lynch said.

Lynch reminded the audience it’s no coincidence God has called us to serve Him for such a time as this.

“This is an important time in the history of the church, and God has us here for a reason,” she said. “Each of us gathered here have been called to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to make disciples. We are called to challenge unbiblical ideas, in the church and in the world.”

Lynch boldly addressed the many struggles our country is facing, saying, “Our nation is becoming increasingly hostile to Biblical truth.”

BG-RRT chaplains deploy to central New Mexico

Chaplains with the Billy Graham Rapid Response Team (BG-RRT) deployed to central New Mexico after a massive wildfire spread through the region. For days, hundreds of firefighters had been battling the fire in the village of Ruidoso. Two people died and over two hundred structures have burned.

“This is such a frightening situation for all those involved and our hearts go out to all those who lost their homes,” said Josh Holland, international director of the BG-RRT.

The team of crisis-trained chaplains served alongside the disaster relief organization Samaritan’s Purse to help meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of those impacted by the fire.

BG-RRT chaplains are also in Ukraine, offering hope and providing comfort and compassion to families who have been forced to flee their homes.
