Native Peoples Tour with Will Graham to bring music and a message of hope to Rosebud and Pine Ridge Indian Reservations

Two-day outreach will feature free concerts by KB and Joshua Chavez, special events for children

RAPID CITY, S.D., July 13, 2022 – After years of planning and preparation, the Native Peoples Tour with Will Graham will take place July 23 on Rosebud Indian Reservation and July 24 near Pine Ridge Indian Reservation. Both locations will feature a special event for children called KidzFest, a meal, a free evening concert, and a message of hope from evangelist Will Graham of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association.

More than 120 volunteers representing 29 churches from both reservations and the surrounding communities are helping to organize and hold these events.

“No matter where I go in the world, people seem to be searching for the same things. They want hope and purpose, peace and security. They want to know that their life matters,” said Graham. “I believe that all of these elusive elements can be found in Jesus, and I’m looking forward to sharing that message with Rosebud and Pine Ridge Reservations later this month.”

The Native Peoples Tour stop on Rosebud Indian Reservation will take place at the John Waln Memorial Rodeo Arena. The Pine Ridge Indian Reservation event will be held at the Bennett County Fairgrounds in Martin. The schedule in each of the two locations will be the same:

3:00 p.m. A free and family-friendly event for pre-school and elementary age children, KidzFest will feature an interactive video called “The Quest” and a short message from Graham, along with games, inflatables, face painting, snacks, drinks and other fun activities.

4:30 p.m. A free meal will be served.

6:00 p.m. The evening program will feature a free concert by Billboard Chart-topping and Dove Award-winning hip hop artist KB, worship music by Joshua Chavez, and a message of hope in Jesus Christ from Graham.

The Native Peoples Tour with Will Graham follows a pair of similar outreaches last year in the Pine Ridge communities of Wanblee and Porcupine. Those events featured music by FLAME and messages from Graham.
