Mountain State Celebration with Will Graham enters final weeks of planning and preparation

FAIRMONT, W.Va., June 23, 2021 – One month from today, the Mountain State Celebration with Will Graham will officially kick off at Duvall-Rosier Field on the campus of Fairmont State University. The COVID-postponed event was originally slated for April 24-26, 2020, but has since been rescheduled for July 23-25, 2021. Local Christians representing more than 190 churches from across the region are working together to host the Celebration.

A full slate of award-winning Christian musical artists are scheduled to perform at the free, family-friendly Celebration, including Skillet, Jordan Feliz, The Afters, FLAME, and Aaron Shust. Evangelist Will Graham, who has shared the Gospel of Jesus Christ to more than one million people across six continents, will speak each evening.

“We have traveled a long road to get to this point, and it is exciting to see all of the work and the prayers of so many coming to fruition” said BJ Rogers, who is directing the Celebration on behalf of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. “We certainly believe that the time is right for this outreach, and that God is going to do something incredible here next month.”

Several rehearsals and meetings will take place over the coming weeks, including a community-wide prayer event on July 20 at Covenant Church. Beginning at 7 p.m., area Christians and churches will gather together for a time of prayer as the week of the Celebration arrives.

The Mountain State Celebration with Will Graham will begin days later, with programs taking place nightly throughout the weekend. KidzFest – a special event tailored just for children, featuring bounce houses, face painting and games – will take place on Saturday morning, July 24.
