Evangelist Franklin Graham is bringing a message of hope to the Southern Potomac River region on the opening night of the God Loves You Tidewater Tour. The program in La Plata will include live performances by Grammy-nominated, platinum-selling Newsboys, five-time Latin Grammy-winner Marcos Witt, and award-winning musician Dennis Agajanian. The event is free, family-friendly, and all are welcome. In addition to serving as president and CEO of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, which shares the Good News of Jesus Christ around the world, Franklin Graham leads Samaritan’s Purse, an international Christian relief and evangelism organization with work in more than 170 countries and territories, including war-torn Ukraine.
The God Loves You Tidewater Tour is an outreach of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA), and it is visiting six cities in Maryland, Virginia, and North Carolina this spring. During each event, Franklin Graham will remind people that God cares for them and has a purpose for their lives. More than 100 churches from metro Washington, D.C. to the Southern Potomac River region, to Northern Virginia are working with the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association because they say the life-changing message of the Bible needs to be shared in Charles County. Over the past seven years, more than half a million people have attended Graham’s tours across all 50 states.

Fred Caudle, senior pastor of The Church @ St. Charles in Waldorf, Maryland, said, “People need to hear the Good News of God’s love for them. Southern Maryland, a fast-growing region, is no exception. Social and economic issues, cultural and political divides, and existential questions seem to be weighing heavy on hearts at this hour. The God Loves You Tour could not come at a better moment in time.” He continued saying, “People are searching for life, peace, and truth. The message that God loves you and has demonstrated His love for you on the cross of Jesus Christ offers hope and healing to our broken world.”
