Media Alert: Declaration of Dependence Tour with Will Graham concludes this week with stops across the South

WHAT:
Evangelist Will Graham has traveled throughout the original 13 colonies this fall to pray and to proclaim the Good News of the Gospel. Following successful events throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic, the Declaration of Dependence Tour with Will Graham will culminate this week with visits to the Southern states of North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia.

WHO:
Will Graham is the third generation of his family to proclaim the love of Jesus Christ under the banner of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. He has shared the Gospel with more than 1.2 million people in live audiences across six continents since beginning his evangelistic ministry in 2006.

Graham will be joined for the Declaration of Dependence Tour by Josh Havens, of the award-winning Christian band The Afters. Havens will lead an acoustic time of worship at each stop.

THIS WEEK’S EVENTS:
Oct. 26: Wilmington, North Carolina – Live Oak Bank Pavilion
Oct. 28: Greenville, South Carolina – Unity Park
Oct. 30: Savannah, Georgia – Forsyth Park

QUOTE:
Senior Pastor Darren Thomas of The Church at Godley Station in Savannah: “Even in the South, a lot of people don’t know who Jesus is. People think because it is the Bible Belt, that everybody must go to church and know Jesus, but there are so many individuals who are searching for the Gospel, searching for hope, and need the Lord. We want to do everything we can to reach them and share the hope that we have. I’m excited to see believers come together to pray for our country and for the world. But, also, I hope that many people will be drawn to the park and hear the Gospel, and I pray that it will sink into their hearts.”

Will Graham: “As we continue to commemorate our country’s 250th birthday, it seems that many across the nation are declaring their independence from God. They don’t want Him in their lives. At the same time, I believe that now is the moment to turn back to our Savior—thanking Him for His faithfulness and truly acknowledging our dependence on Him. At the Declaration of Dependence Tour, we’ll spend time in prayer and praise. Then I’ll share the timeless truth of the Gospel and give people a chance to respond and place their faith in Jesus.”
