Tour will visit Birmingham on 15 June and Glasgow on 22 June

Revd Franklin Graham and Christians from over 450 churches across the Midlands are working together to bring the God Loves You Tour to the Resorts World Arena in Birmingham next month. These family-friendly events will feature live music and a message of hope, and they are free and open to all.

“This will be the ninth time I will have preached in the UK and I’m just as excited as the first time that I preached in the UK 25 years ago,” said Franklin Graham, president and CEO of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. “Just like every time before, I’m coming with a message of Good News. I’m coming to share how people can have a real and personal relationship with God through His Son, Jesus Christ.”

The God Loves You Tour is visiting Birmingham 40 years after Franklin Graham’s father, Billy Graham, preached to historic crowds at Villa Park. During that outreach which lasted eight days in the summer of 1984, tens of thousands of lives were changed as people came to faith in Jesus Christ.

Churches that partnered with the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA) 40 years ago, as well as many new churches, are working with the BGEA and Franklin Graham today because they believe there is a new generation of people who need to hear the hope-filled message of the Bible.

“Birmingham, one of the youngest cities in Europe, is full of people searching for identity, hope and purpose. Many are asking ‘Where do I fit?’,” said Kirk McAtear, pastor of Trinity Birmingham. “The message that Franklin Graham will be sharing during the God Loves You Tour has the power to change our city. The Gospel provides peace, healing, and answers to those who are searching.”

Reuben Morley, the youth festival director for the God Loves You Tour, said, “While statistics indicate that young people are drifting away from God, the excitement among our youth is building daily as we approach 15 June. We’ve witnessed hundreds of Gen Z and Gen Alpha attendees at our pre-tour events, where they are being equipped with tools to deepen their relationship with God and gain the confidence to share their faith with others!”

The God Loves You Tour will feature award-winning musical guests. Three-time Grammy Award winner Michael W. Smith will perform live during both nights of the tour. Taya, formerly of Hillsong UNITED and best known for “Oceans,” one of the most popular songs in Christian music history, will also be joining the tour.

To make it as easy as possible to attend the event, BGEA is providing free buses for churches that would like to bring a coach filled with people from their community who need to hear a message of good news.

About The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association
Founded by Billy Graham in 1950, the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA) shares the Good News of Jesus Christ around the world. Billy Graham had a profound love and appreciation for the United Kingdom, and he established BGEA’s UK office in London in 1954. Mr. Graham went on to preach in the UK more than any other place outside of the United States.

About Franklin Graham
Franklin Graham is continuing the lifelong work of his father. Since his first evangelistic event with BGEA in 1989, he has held more than 275 outreaches in over 50 countries, including eight events in the United Kingdom since 1999. Last year, Franklin Graham shared the hope of the Gospel with over 10,000 people in London, and he will be preaching at ExCeL London again on 21 June next year. In addition to serving as president and CEO of BGEA, Franklin Graham also leads Samaritan’s Purse, which works in more than 100 countries, including Ukraine where the international Christian relief and development organisation has helped more than 14.5 million people by providing 113,000 tonnes of food and 907 tonnes of emergency relief supplies on 43 airlifts. Samaritan’s Puse also operated five field hospitals and five medical clinics in the war-torn country, treating tens of thousands of patients.
