Final preparations underway for Rappahannock Area Celebration with Will Graham

Free and family-friendly event to be held June 25 at the Fredericksburg Expo & Convention Center

FREDERICKSBURG, Va., June 2, 2022 – In less than one month, the Rappahannock Area Celebration with Will Graham will officially take place in Fredericksburg. Volunteers from 174 churches representing 41 denominations across the region are working together to host the Celebration on June 25 at the Fredericksburg Expo & Conference Center.

“An incredible amount of prayer and preparation has gotten us to where we are today, with the Rappahannock Area Celebration on the near horizon,” said Bob Hickling, who has been guiding the Celebration process on behalf of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. “We’re seeing churches working together, Christians reaching out to their neighbors, and an excitement that is contagious. We truly expect God to do something amazing in and around Fredericksburg in June.”

The Rappahannock Area Celebration with Will Graham is a free and family-friendly outreach, featuring a special event for children in the morning called KidzFest, followed by a large-scale outreach in the evening. Along with bounce houses, face painting and games, KidzFest will feature a concert by award-winning children’s band Go Fish, an interactive video titled The Quest, and a special message by Graham.

The evening event will be headlined by another message from Graham about the hope and love of Jesus, along with a full line-up of top Christian artists:

  • Newsboys, one of the most influential bands in Christian music history, have had 33 No. 1 radio hits, four Grammy nominations and two American Music Award nominations.
  • Rend Collective is a Christian folk rock worship band originating from Northern Ireland. The Dove Award-nominated group is well known for their unique sound and their hit songs, including “Build Your Kingdom Here” and “My Lighthouse.”
  • Aaron Shust is an accomplished praise and worship leader. He has received the Dove Award’s New Artist of the Year, Songwriter of the Year, and Song of the Year commendations.
