‘Fearless with Cissie Graham Lynch’ celebrates five-year milestone with special guest, Franklin Graham

CHARLOTTE, N.C., June 18, 2024 – To mark the fifth anniversary of the Fearless podcast, Cissie Graham Lynch was joined by her father, Franklin Graham, at the house where he was raised in the mountains of North Carolina. The landmark episode, which was filmed at Little Piney Cove, the home of her grandparents Billy and Ruth Graham, is now available to listeners.

During the recording, Cissie asked her dad what it was like to grow up in the mountain home and how his parents’ ministry shaped his life.

“My parents were great examples. Not only were they godly, they were practical people,” said Franklin Graham, president and CEO of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association and Samaritan’s Purse. “My mother always encouraged daddy. Daddy never looked back over his shoulder. He always looked forward.”

In the episode, Franklin spoke about his own salvation story that took place 50 years ago, which changed the trajectory of not only his own life, but that of his family. Cissie shared, “I am so thankful watching God’s goodness throughout your life, through Daddy Bill’s [Billy Graham’s] life, and seeing God’s hand, not just on your life, but the men and women he’s put around you to make things possible.”

Lynch started the Fearless podcast in 2019 as she saw a decline in biblical literacy affecting how Christians lived out their faith. “I grew up watching my grandfather and dad stand boldly for the Gospel,” said Cissie. “I want to encourage people to never back down from their beliefs even in a world full of chaos that wants to destroy Christian values. If you know what you believe and why you believe it, you can start to have tough conversations when you see attacks on biblical values happening around you.”

The Fearless with Cissie Graham Lynch podcast is produced by the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association and has now garnered more than 1.4 million downloads. Fearless has covered a wide range of topics since the podcast began in 2019, all focused on equipping Christians to live out a fearless faith in the midst of today’s compromising culture.

Some of the popular topics include the most recent on Pride Month, and earlier episodes discussing Mormonism, the war in Israel, and antisemitism on college campuses.

Fearless is available for streaming and download through the Billy Graham app, as well as through Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and other podcast aggregators, and can be streamed directly at cissiegrahamlynch.com.
