Free rally a precursor to the upcoming Iowa Celebration with Will Graham
DES MOINES, Iowa, March 8, 2021 – Evangelist Will Graham will return to Des Moines on March 16 to speak at a Church Rally at Grace Church on East 25th Street. The Rally, which is free and open to the public, is one of many local events leading up to the Iowa Celebration with Will Graham, a multi-day outreach scheduled to take place Oct. 1-3, 2021, at Wells Fargo Arena.
“As we continue to build momentum toward the Iowa Celebration in October, it’s important to gather together, pray, be encouraged, and look at the next steps in this process,” said Graham, who announced the Iowa Celebration at a gathering of pastors and church leaders at Hoyt Sherman Place in January. “Our churches are energized, Christians are getting excited, and I believe that God is preparing to do some amazing things in the months ahead.”
Graham will be joined for the Church Rally by Josh Havens and Matt Fuqua of the award-winning Christian rock band, The Afters. A consistent and popular presence on the Christian music scene for more than a decade, The Afters have garnered multiple top five hits on the Billboard Praise & Worship charts. Their music has also been featured on several primetime network television shows.
“This is a unique opportunity for people to hear directly from Will as he shares his heart to reach Des Moines with the hope of Jesus,” said BJ Rogers, who is helping to direct the Celebration on behalf of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. “I encourage everybody to make their plans now, to come to Grace Church for this free event, and to learn how they can be a part of the Iowa Celebration.”
Seating for the Church Rally is first come, first served. No RSVP is required. Attendees are encouraged to wear masks. Organizers ask those who are sick, experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, or are in a high-risk group, to please stay home.
