Rev. Franklin Graham, president and CEO of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association and Samaritan’s Purse, challenged the delegates at Congress: “Do the work of an evangelist—preach the Gospel. Don’t be ashamed.”

He continued, saying, “Don’t compromise. Be strong. Fulfill your ministry. We know there is going to be suffering. We know there are going to be challenges. We know there are going to be some fights. Let’s be strong and preach our Savior who we know is coming back.”

At the close of the European Congress on Evangelism today, delegates participated in communion together and recommitted themselves to taking the Good News of Jesus Christ back to their communities, countries and to the next generation.

“What if the Gospel is turned loose in Berlin?” asked Dr. Skip Heitzig, senior pastor of Calvary Chapel Church in New Mexico. “What if the Gospel is turned loose in whatever city that you reside in? Turn it loose! It’s the power of God.”

In his final address to the Congress, Rev. Franklin Graham encouraged the crowd to continue the work of evangelism and said that he looks forward to returning soon. “I’m not going to say goodbye, but I’ll say, ‘See you again.’”
