The Billy Graham Rapid Response Team has deployed to Buckingham Palace, Windsor Castle and the Palace of Holyroodhouse, to minister to people mourning the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Chaplains arrived at Buckingham Palace following the news of the Queen’s passing.

“We are so saddened to hear of the death of Her Majesty the Queen,” said Nigel Fawcett-Jones, manager of the Billy Graham Rapid Response Team and assistant head of ministry in the UK. “We are thankful for her leading the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth so well over so many years. The death of the Queen will add to the insecurity and fear that people are currently experiencing and we want them to know that there is hope in the Gospel message and through faith in Jesus, He brings peace in the midst of the storm in every challenge of life.”

Franklin Graham, president and CEO of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association also shared this message, “I will always appreciate her example of leadership and her life of integrity. I’m especially grateful for the queen’s friendship with my father Billy Graham. He cherished their friendship that was built on a shared love for Jesus Christ and belief in God’s Word. She will be profoundly missed.” Read the full statement at https://billygraham.org/story/franklin-grahams-statement-on-the-passing-of-queen-elizabeth-ii/.

More than 20 chaplains will be ministering at Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle. There will also be a smaller group of chaplains ministering to people at the Palace of Holyroodhouse.

BG-RRT chaplains are now serving in five locations. Besides the United Kingdom, chaplains are in two areas of eastern Kentucky, as well as, St. Louis, dealing with catastrophic flooding. They also continue to serve in Ukraine, offering hope and providing comfort and compassion to families who have been forced to flee their homes.
