CHARLOTTE, N.C., March 16, 2024 – The Billy Graham Rapid Response Team (BG-RRT) is deploying to Logan County, Ohio, and Winchester, Indiana, after tornadoes killed three people and left a trail of destruction on Thursday, March 14. The National Weather Service surveyed the damage and confirmed there were at least eight tornadoes that spawned across Ohio.
“We can’t even begin to imagine what a scary situation this must have been for people. We are praying for all those impacted by this storm,” said Josh Holland, international director of the BG-RRT. “We are sending our crisis-trained chaplains to comfort, pray and share God’s love with those who have been impacted by this disaster.”
BG-RRT chaplains are now providing emotional and spiritual support in three locations. In addition to Ohio and Indiana, chaplains are also offering hope and comfort to families who have been forced to flee their homes in war-torn Ukraine.

About the Billy Graham Rapid Response Team:
The Billy Graham Rapid Response Team was developed by Franklin Graham and the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association following the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001. It has since grown into an international network of chaplains in the U.S., U.K., Canada and Australia who are specifically trained to deal with crisis situations. They have deployed to more than 800 disaster sites across the globe, including shootings, floods, hurricanes, wildfires and tornadoes.
