BG-RRT Press Kit
THREE RIVERS, Mich., March 9, 2026 – The Billy Graham Rapid Response Team (BG-RRT) is deploying crisis-trained chaplains to southwestern Michigan following deadly tornadoes that swept through the region, killing at least four people, injuring many more, and leaving widespread devastation across several towns.
Chaplains will be present in communities around Three Rivers, Michigan, providing emotional and spiritual care to those impacted by the storms. In the area, hundreds of homes have been damaged and dozens completely destroyed. Many residents remain without power as emergency officials continue damage assessments across the region.
“The tornadoes have left behind devastating loss. Families are grieving lost loved ones, homes have been reduced to rubble, and entire communities are now facing overwhelming destruction,” said Josh Holland, vice president of BG-RRT Global. “Our chaplains are going to walk alongside those who are hurting, offering a listening ear, prayer, and the hope that can only be found in Jesus Christ.”
In addition to Michigan, chaplains are ministering to communities in Corinth, Oxford and New Albany, Mississippi, and West Monroe, Louisiana, following recent winter storms. The BG-RRT also continues to offer emotional and spiritual care to families who have been forced to flee their homes in war-torn Ukraine.
