CHARLOTTE, N.C., July 15, 2020 –The Billy Graham Library welcomes visitors to upcoming summer events including Military Appreciation Day, book signings with conservative journalist Todd Starnes and Masterpiece Cakeshop owner Jack Phillips, and an event for teens and tweens to learn about sharing their faith.
Rated the No. 1 thing to do in Charlotte on TripAdvisor, the Library offers a unique experience for the whole family. Guests who visit the Library can experience the interactive Journey of Faith tour—which highlights the message of hope that Billy Graham preached for more than 80 years—as well as the Graham Brothers Dairy Bar, Ruth’s Attic bookstore, the Graham family homeplace, the memorial prayer garden, and more.
July 17, 9:30 a.m.-2 p.m.: Military Appreciation Day — The Billy Graham Library will welcome those who currently serve, and those who have served, in our nation’s armed forces and their families for a special day of appreciation, honoring their service to our country.
Military Appreciation Day will include outdoor activities for both adults and children and will feature special giveaways, a complimentary lunch, opportunities to learn about the military ministry of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, and an encouraging message from Edward Graham, son of Franklin Graham and a 16-year Army veteran.

July 31, 10:30-11:30 a.m.: Todd Starnes Book Signing — Longtime conservative journalist and radio commentator Todd Starnes will sign copies of his latest book “Our Daily Biscuit: Devotions with a Drawl”at the Billy Graham Library.
“Our Daily Biscuit”is a celebration of faith, family, food, and Starnes’ Southern heritage. Each chapter features a verse of Scripture, a funny or poignant story about Southern culture—with a devotional tie-in to bless your day or make you think—a prayer, and questions to help you deepen your relationship with God.
“Our Daily Biscuit”will be available for purchase in the Ruth’s Attic bookstore, or you may bring your own copy. One of the items for signing must be a copy of “Our Daily Biscuit.”
Aug. 7, 9:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m.: Resolve: Youth Evangelism Day — Resolve is a multi-session event that will include an encouraging message from evangelist Nick Hall, live worship, and break-out sessions that will give tweens and teens practical tools to share their faith. The event will include tours of The Journey of Faith. Lunch will be provided as well as discounts on youth discipleship books and Bibles in Ruth’s Attic bookstore.

Aug. 21, 1-2 p.m.: Book Signing with Jack Phillips — Masterpiece Cakeshop owner Jack Phillips will sign copies of his book “The Cost of My Faith: How a Decision in My Cake Shop Took Me to the Supreme Court”at the Billy Graham Library. In his book, Phillips answers the question, “Why not just make the cake?” Phillips hopes his story will inspire and strengthen those who will encounter challenges, however fearsome, to live out their faith.
“The Cost of My Faith”will be available for purchase in Ruth’s Attic bookstore at the Billy Graham Library, or guests may bring their own copy.
