CHARLOTTE, N.C., Oct. 10, 2016 – Carrying gifts for children in need, motorcyclists from across the southeastern U.S. will converge at the Billy Graham Library on Saturday, Oct. 15, from 9:30 a.m.-3 p.m. “Bikers with Boxes” began in 2007 and draws more than 1,000 bikers each year to the Billy Graham Library. Since the event began, these generous bikers have collected more than 10,000 gift-filled shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child, a project of the international Christian relief organization Samaritan’s Purse.
In addition to shoebox collection, “Bikers with Boxes” will provide free lunch to participating motorcyclists and tours of The Journey of Faith. Livia Young, a former shoebox recipient from Romania who now volunteers with Operation Christmas Child, will also speak to attendees.

About Operation Christmas Child
Operation Christmas Child is a project of Samaritan’s Purse, an international Christian relief and evangelism organization headed by Franklin Graham. The mission of Operation Christmas Child is to demonstrate God’s love in a tangible way to children in need around the world, and together with the local church worldwide, to share the Good News of Jesus Christ. Since 1993, Operation Christmas Child has collected and delivered more than 135 million gift-filled shoeboxes to children in more than 150 countries and territories. For many of these children, the gift-filled shoebox is the first gift they have ever received.
