Dr. Ben Carson, former U.S. Cabinet Secretary and neurosurgeon, to be in Charlotte at Billy Graham Library

CHARLOTTE, N.C., July 22, 2024 – Dr. Ben Carson, former U.S. Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, renowned neurosurgeon, and author will sign copies of his book The Perilous Fight: Overcoming Our Culture’s War on the American Family on Thursday, July 25, at the Billy Graham Library.

“We are honored to welcome Dr. Ben Carson to the Billy Graham Library. I have known him for over 20 years, and I have great respect for him,” said Franklin Graham, president and CEO of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. “I am so grateful for the strong stand he takes for family and the authority of God’s Word, which are foundational pillars of America that have been under attack. Dr. Carson is an important voice in our nation today.”

In The Perilous Fight, Dr. Carson lays out an inspiring yet practical plan for restoring Biblical values to the nation we love: build strong families.

“The perilous fight for American families is not new… The battle is real. The enemies against us are powerful,” writes Dr. Carson in his book. “But there is no reason that we, the American people, cannot overcome the forces that want to tear us apart—no reason that we cannot recognize that there is more that unites us than divides us. We have an amazing country with an amazing future, if only we summon the courage and make the right decisions that will spur us on to win the perilous fight.”

The book signing will take place from 1 to 3 p.m. on Thursday, July 25. Copies of The Perilous Fight will be available for purchase in Ruth’s Attic bookstore at the Billy Graham Library or you may bring your own. Admission is free, and no preregistration is required.
