BGEA’s GPS: God. People. Stories. podcast surpasses 750,000 downloads

CHARLOTTE, N.C., Aug. 31, 2026 – The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA) podcast GPS: God. People. Stories. reached a major milestone this month, surpassing 750,000 downloads as it celebrates 11 years of sharing powerful stories of how God is transforming lives around the world.

Since launching in 2015, GPS has released 381 episodes featuring approximately 335 guests from all walks of life—from well-known Christian leaders, authors, athletes and entertainers to everyday people with extraordinary stories of God’s work in their lives. Guests have included bestselling author Lee Strobel, personal finance expert Dave Ramsey, former NFL player Jason Brown and former Navy fighter pilot Tammie Jo Shults. The podcast has grown to reach listeners in 69 countries, with around 12% of downloads coming from outside the United States.

“When the first GPS episode came out 11 years ago, we had no idea how many people would engage with the podcast and listen. What we did know was that we were blessed to hear remarkable stories that bear witness to God’s transforming work in the lives of people from every imaginable walk of life,” said Jim Kirkland, host of GPS and executive director of Audio Ministry at BGEA. “11 years later, God is still writing those stories every day, and hundreds of thousands of people have tuned in to hear them through the podcast.”

The GPS: God. People. Stories. podcast continues to grow, with more than 106,000 downloads in the past year alone and annual downloads increasing for three consecutive years. One of the most popular episodes to date, “How a Hindu Monk Discovered the One True God,” has been downloaded more than 13,650 times and features the story of Michael Austin, who spent years in a Hindu meditation cult until he discovered the hope of Jesus Christ.

The impact of GPS extends beyond download numbers, with listeners sharing how the stories have encouraged them with their faith. “What a tremendous blessing this program truly is! I’m so grateful for it and for the encouragement, wisdom and hope it brings,” one listener wrote. “It has been such a source of strength and inspiration, and I thank God for everyone involved in making it possible.”

GPS: God. People. Stories. is currently available on 16 platforms, including Apple Podcasts, Spotify, YouTube and the SiriusXM app. Since BGEA began making GPS episodes available on YouTube in 2024, the podcast has received more than 246,000 additional views on the platform.
