CHARLOTTE, N.C., Sept. 10, 2025 – The Billy Graham Rapid Response Team (BG-RRT) is deploying crisis-trained chaplains to provide spiritual and emotional care in Randolph County, North Carolina, after sheriff’s deputies located a deceased 7-year-old who was previously reported as missing. Randolph County Sheriff Greg Seabolt requested the BG-RRT to minister to deputies, staff, and the community following the three-day search for Liam King, which ended tragically.

“It’s a heartbreaking ending to hear that Liam King’s life has ended in such a terrible way,” said Josh Holland, international director of the BG-RRT. “Our thoughts and prayers are with the King family, all those who knew and loved Liam, and with the first responders and volunteers that searched tirelessly, hoping to bring a happy ending to Liam’s disappearance. Our chaplains are trained for situations like this, and they will share the love of Christ as they listen to, comfort, and pray with those who have been affected by this tragedy.”

In addition to Randolph County, the BG-RRT is ministering to those affected by recent floods in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and offering hope and providing emotional comfort and spiritual care to families who have been forced to flee their homes in war-torn Ukraine.
