UIJEONGBU, South Korea, May 19, 2026 – Evangelist Will Graham returned to Korea this week to preach the Good News of the Gospel at the Uijeongbu Billy Graham Crusade with Will Graham. More than 21,000 people gathered for the May 17 outreach at the Uijeongbu Sports Complex, north of the capital city of Seoul. The family-friendly program featured music by special guest artists and a message from Will Graham, the grandson of the late evangelist Billy Graham and son of Franklin Graham.
Graham shared about the parable of the Prodigal Son, found in Luke 15. “The young man went home. His father was waiting on him—watching for him. The Bible says the father ran to him. He wept on his neck, because his son was home. He wept tears of joy,” said Graham. “That’s how God feels about you. Will you come home to your heavenly Father tonight? Put your trust in Christ and what He did on the cross for you.”
More than 260 churches were actively involved with the Uijeongbu Billy Graham Crusade with Will Graham, helping to organize and implement this historic event.
“I hope that this is going to be a new beginning—a spiritual beginning—for our city and for the Korean churches in general,” said Pastor Shin-hoo Choi of Uijeongbu Kwang Myung Church, who also served as Graham’s interpreter at the Crusade. “I pray that this will happen in other cities in Korea. And I thank God that He chose our city as the first city, and the second wave of great revival in Korea for the next generation.”
The name of the outreach—the Uijeongbu Billy Graham Crusade—was a nod to Graham’s grandfather, Billy Graham, who visited Korea many times, starting with a tour of the country during the Korean conflict in 1952. The elder Graham’s historic 1973 Seoul Crusade was the largest of his decades-long ministry, with more than 3.2 million people attending the five-day outreach—including 1.1 million at the closing program. More than 70,000 people made commitments to follow Jesus Christ at that Crusade, making it a pivotal moment for Christianity in South Korea.
Graham’s father, Franklin Graham, preached the Gospel in Busan, South Korea, in 2007. He returned in 2023 to speak at Far East Broadcasting Company’s 50th anniversary outreach, commemorating Billy Graham’s historic 1973 campaign.
Prior to visiting Korea, Graham held the Love and Hope in Shikoku Celebration with Will Graham on May 4-5, 2026, in Matsuyama City, Japan. In a country where only 1-2% of people are Christian, more than 3,000 attended the two-day outreach. More than 180 people responded when Graham invited those in attendance to place their faith in Jesus and follow Him as Savior, with many more walking forward for prayer or to learn more about faith in Christ.
