CHARLOTTE, N.C., Sept. 10, 2026 — “Sept. 11, 2001, changed the world.” In the aftermath of the 9/11 terrorist attacks on the United States, amid the chaos and uncertainty of the destruction, there was redemption and hope found amidst the rubble of ground zero. Twenty-five years after the 2001 tragedy, the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA) will release a new TV documentary that features firsthand accounts of four individuals who survived the horrific attack on the World Trade Center.
“Sept. 11, 2001, reminded us how quickly life can change,” said Franklin Graham, president and CEO of BGEA and Samaritan’s Purse. “We always want people to know God loves them and cares for them. In the middle of this tragedy … In these moments of desperation, these moments of disaster, what’s really important comes to the surface. The only hope that we have is in God.”
