SAVANNAH, Ga., Oct. 30, 2026 – In the United States’ 250th year, evangelist Will Graham and the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association have felt a burden to call the nation back to its spiritual roots by once again declaring its dependence on God. This goal ultimately developed into the Declaration of Dependence Tour with Will Graham, a 13-state journey that brought prayer, praise and evangelism to each of the original colonies.
The Tour began in Plymouth, Massachusetts, in mid-September and traveled a mostly-southern path along the East Coast, culminating today with a closing event in Savannah, Georgia. Each stop of the Declaration of Dependence Tour took place at noon on weekdays, typically in public parks, and lasted roughly one hour.
“It’s significant that the birth certificate of the United States is called the Declaration of Independence. When our forefathers signed that historic document, they were declaring their independence from Great Britain—the most powerful empire in the world in their time,” said Graham. “But, at the same time, these same forefathers were declaring their dependence upon Almighty God. They were stepping into the great unknown as a collection of colonies and acknowledged their deep dependence and reliance on Him.”
In each location, Graham took the time to mention the Christian foundations put in place by early leaders in those particular colonies, before pivoting to our world today. “Now, a lot has changed in the last 250 years. Our country and our society have gone off course. In many ways, we are characterized by division, hatred and violence. The problems that we face are more complex and more deeply rooted than ever before. There seems to be no hope, and no way out,” said Graham. “But we can be sure of this: Even though our world has changed, God has not changed. His laws have not changed. His character has not changed. And His plan has not changed. God is still a God of love and mercy.”
Each stop of the Declaration of Dependence Tour featured acoustic music by worship leader Josh Havens, lead singer of the award-winning Christian band The Afters, followed by a time of prayer led by Graham. Across the 13 original colonies, more than 5,300 gathered to pray for our country, leaders, first responders, churches and families.
Following praise and prayer, Graham shared the Good News of Jesus Christ at each stop, encouraging those in attendance to place their faith in Him. “Jesus took our place on the cross, where we were supposed to die. He bled and died on the cross—not for His sin, but for your sin, my sin, and the sins of the world.” said Graham in Savannah, on the last day of the Tour. “That’s exactly what God did for us. It cost God His only begotten Son, but He gives salvation to us freely. Will you receive that free gift today?”
Over the course of the Tour, more than 290 people responded in repentance and faith to this Gospel message.

In addition to the Declaration of Dependence Tour events, Graham’s 2026 schedule has included outreaches in the United States, Japan, Korea and Canada. Including the Tour, more than 37,000 have heard the Good News through his events this year, with over 1,575 making decisions to follow Jesus. Following the Tour, Graham will now turn his attention to his next event—Esperança Salvador with Will Graham—taking place November 13-14, 2026, in Salvador, Brazil.
